2009 Lenten Bible Series
Reverend Donn Ed will lead a 6-week long Lenten Bible series with a morning Bible study session from 9:15 to 10:00 AM and an evening discussion session from 5:30 to 7:00 PM including a light dinner in the Community Room on the ground floor of the First Congregational Church of Etna on Sunday February 22nd, Sunday March 1st, Sunday March 8th, Sunday March 15th, Sunday March 22nd, and Sunday March 29th. All our welcome. There is no need to attend the morning Bible session in order to attend the evening discussion session as notes are provided from the morning Bible session at the evening session. Come out to as many of these sessions as possible to deepen your Lent experience.

Reverend Donn Ed will lead a 3-week long series on leadership from 9:15 to 10:00 AM in the Community Room on the ground floor of the First Congregational Church of Etna on Sunday April 6th, Sunday April 13th, and Sunday April 20th. Learn how leadership is the key to making progress and the Christian model of leadership since with God all things are possible.
2008 Lenten Laboratory on Christology
Members of the congregation including Reverend Pam Wallace will lead different sessions on different models of Jesus the Christ to deepen our relationship with and understanding of Jesus the Christ. This 5-week Lenten series on Christology will take place from 9:15 to 10:00 AM in the Community Room on the ground floor of the First Congregational Church of Etna on Sunday February 10th, Sunday February 17th, Sunday February 24th, Sunday March 2nd, and Sunday March 9th.

Bible 66
Reverend Donn Ed has prepared an excellent and informative Bible survey course lasting about 2 hours called "Bible 66" which provides an introduction and overview to the 66 books of the Bible. Discussion Series for Winter 2003
Round table discussions on a variety of contemporary topics with material distributed to interested people at least one week in advance of the meeting to allow time for reading and review.
Jonah a Veggie Tale Movie - September 2003
Family night at the movies on Sunday September 28th at 6:00 PM. This is a special program that will include the movie, refreshments, adult discussion, and children's activities. Invite your adult friends and neighbors. Bring your children, grandchildren, and neighbors' children.
March 25, 2003 7:30-9:00 PM - Looking for God in Popular Culture.
The discussion will be based on Eyes Wide Open by William D. Romanowski and Hollywood Worldviews by Brian Godawa. Topics include: the postmodern world view in contemporary film, a Christian perspective on popular art, and guidelines for analyzing popular artworks.
February 18, 2003 7:30-9:00 PM - The Rise of the Creative Class: A New View of American Culture
The discussion will be based on material from a recent book by CMU professor Richard Florida. We will discuss the possible implications of Dr. Florida's theory for the church.
January 21, 2003 7:30-9:00 PM - Contemporary Worship: What Is It? Is It for Us?
The discussion will be based on several magazine articles which include articles from The Congregationalist.
Shalom Bible Study for Fall 2002
