Welcome to Our Church.

The First Congregational Church of Etna was gathered in 1849. We are a people called together and bound to one another and God by a covenant to be God's and to fulfill God's mission.
As all Congregational Churches, we recognize the right and duty of each member to determine his/her own beliefs according to the dictates of his/her conscience. However, with other Churches in the Christian tradition, we acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the revelation of God the Creator in the Holy Scriptures. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is open to all who profess their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
The mission of the First Congregational Church of Etna is to offer a spiritual, educational and supportive environment of Christian fellowship in which all individuals are free to express their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and to worship God. Guided by the love of God and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, we are moved to nurture the growth of each member to their full spiritual potential; to provide a family-centered atmosphere that is abundant with hope, love, peace and joy; and to promote, in words and deeds, the well-being of the community.
In all aspects of its life, First Congregational Church is self governing. For programmatic purposes we are associated with the Western Pennsylvania Association of Congregational Christian Churches and the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches.
We welcome visitors to our services, including our 10:15 a.m. worship each Sunday morning.
